SUMMARY:Bridge the Wage Gap & Shatter the Ceiling: Achieving Pay Equity Through Inclusive Employee Benefits
DESCRIPTION:The widening wage gap for women of color during the pandemic overshadows progress for women in the workplace. According to LeanIn’s 2021 study\, Black women are paid 42% less than white men and 21% less than white women\, while Latinas earn 49 cents for every dollar a white man makes. However\, the pay gap for women of color did not start with the global pandemic. \nTo practice pay equity\, executives and HR leaders need to understand why pay inequality is systemic for underrepresented groups in the US. This session will cover a brief history of pay inequity for women and people of color and how HR teams can implement equitable compensation practices such as salary transparency and inclusive benefits to attract and retain top talent.

SUMMARY:How to Be a Diversity and Inclusion Ambassador: A Three-Part Framework
DESCRIPTION:Diversity and inclusion are increasingly critical drivers for business success. However\, creating a more diverse and inclusive work environment can involve overcoming significant barriers throughout the organization. What can you do to more effectively drive change? How can you help others take advantage of the opportunities available to them to create a culture where all truly feel valued? \nJoin Celeste Warren\, author of the new book\, How to Be a Diversity and Inclusion Ambassador\, as she explains how everyone—from C-suite leaders to frontline employees—can play a pivotal role in creating a diverse and welcoming workplace. The conversation will be moderated by Susan Caminiti\, Content Editor\, at CNBC Councils\, and will focus on examples\, practical tools\, and technologies to help you develop a purpose and strategy that can make diversity a workplace reality. SUMMARY:Hiring for Potential: Rethinking What Qualified Candidates Look Like
DESCRIPTION:Are you struggling to find exceptional talent to fill key roles? You’re not alone. Today there are more job openings than workers to fill them\, and the battle for qualified talent will only continue to intensify. Traditionally\, employers have made hiring decisions based almost exclusively on the required skills of the role while seeking candidates whose experience matches their wish list of ideal traits. But that simply won’t be enough any longer. Organizations need to start hiring candidates with an eye to the future; not only who will be productive and engaged from day one\, but also who will stay in the position long-term\, be able to adapt to change and unexpected challenges\, and who can grow into new and different positions to help the organization thrive. Hiring is more challenging now than ever\, so how can companies ensure they’re hiring the professionals they need now and those they can count on in the future? The answer: hiring candidates with upskill potential. \nJoin Eric Sydell\, PhD.\, EVP of Innovation at Modern Hire\, to discuss: \n\nWhat’s behind the current workforce shortage\,\nWhat “potential” means in the workplace and the predictive science behind it\,\nThe tools that exist to help businesses identify upskill potential\, and\nThe best practices to reduce bias and focus on the candidates most likely to succeed\, regardless of their background Don’t miss your opportunity to learn how to find your most diverse\, engaged\, productive\, and future-focused workforce. You will walk away from this session with actionable tips to better insulate yourself against the ongoing effects of a labor shortage.
